In Lachine, Champlain College’s Martin Drolet scored his 30th goal of the season, and Yann Poulin his 10th to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead heading towards the halfway mark in the opening period. In the fifteenth minute, the Maroons Andy Desrosiers scored his 49th goal of the season to get his team to within a goal, but Sherbrooke got that one back when Christopher Rodrigue scored his fourth goal of the season, a power play goal to make the score 3-1 visitors after one. In the second, teams split a pair of goals, with Andy Buntic scoring his 23rd of the season for Sherbrooke and Bruno Desjardins getting his 24th of the year for Lachine. With the score 4-2 in favor of Champlain College, the third saw the Lachine Maroons Mathieu Yelle score his 5th goal of the year, a power play goal, and Kevin Robert his 4th to tie the game at 4-4 with over seven minutes left in the game. Robert’s goal would send the game into overtime, where neither team was able to score, forcing a shootout situation. In the resulting shootout, Sherbrooke came out on top by a 2-0 score to take home the win. In nets, Vincent Lamontagne earned his 11th win of the season facing 32 shots on the day, while his counterpart, Mathieu Côté faced 44 shots in suffering the loss.

In Lachine, teams split a pair of opening period goals, with Cedrick Rochon scoring his 27th of the season for Granby and Bruno Desjardins getting his 23rd for the Maroons. In the second, Eric Desfossés scored his 10th goal of the season and Andy Desrosiers got his 48th, a shorthanded goal to put the locals in front by a 3-1 score just over three minutes into the period. However, not to be outdone, the Inouk came back with three straight goals to give themselves a 4-3 lead after two period of play. Francis Piché Scored twice, including a power play goal, his 16th and 17th goals of the season and Pierre-Luc Lacombe got his 28th of the year, a power play goal with 3:24 to go in the period. In the third, Philippe Beaulieu scored a power play goal and a shorthanded goal to make the score 6-3 in favor of Granby with his 35th and 36th goals of the season. Then in the thirteenth minute Lachine’s Tommy Labelle scored his 51st goal of the season to bring his team to within a pair. But the win was sealed, when with 1:13 left in the game Granby’s Jeff Secours scored his 24th goal of the season into an empty net. Roger Kennedy earned his 10th win while facing 26 shots. At the other end of the rink his counterpart, Mathieu Côté faced 53 shots in taking the loss, his 4th of the season in nets for Lachine.
